Due to the technological advancement and population and explosion, the world’s demand for energy has a rapid growth. So a renewable energy source that is cost-effective, reliable and everlasting must be opted to meet the future energy demands. There are many renewable energy sources out of which solar energy is free of cost. It is also suitable for long-term issues. Due to energy’s high demand, the solar industry is developing all over the world. Many other energy sources like fossil fuel are expensive and also have limited applications. It has become a tool to sustain the underprivileged people’s life. It also has a great part in developing in the economic status of various countries. Solar industry is the best energy source than other energy sources and a solution to meet the future energy demands as it has various benefits. The various benefits include capacity, cost-effectiveness, accessibility, availability and efficiency.  Based on the interest and above view point researcher selected the area of solar energy. This paper on “Designing and Evaluating the Performance of Solar Powered Iron Box” briefly describes the design and performance of the solar powered iron box. A study was conducted in Coimbatore city among four hundred samples using interview schedule for which questionnaire was developed which entailed socio-demographic profile of the participants, solar devices used by them, limitations faced, other device they would like to have operated on solar power etc. During the study it was revealed that majority of participants opted for solar powered device

International Research Journal on Advanced Science Hub, 2021, Volume 3, Issue 1, Pages 5-12

Today is the age of evolution of technology; Innovation will be the key to success in this era of rapid technological advancement and adoption in every area. But matter is that how to make efficient to conventional technology or to make it advance such technology. In present scenario global environmental and energy problems, high expectations exist for solar power generation directly result in to reduce carbon dioxide generation by the primary use of fossil fuels. On the other hand domestic power consumption demand arising day to day. Our aim is to demonstrate solar energy to design smart solar inverter to utilize scrap e-waste. E-waste production is increasing day by day with least solution to reuse it for other purposes. E-waste can be a heavy part of future problems. The inverter is made by the help of most of e-waste material. This 500W solar micro inverter consists of three portion: the MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) the DC-to-AC step-up converter and the AC-DC Inverter sections. In this paper, the attachment of hi-tech application (Data Acquisition System) using ESP8266/32 & sensor which helps to monitor temperature, battery position & light position to protect overall system environmental-friendly. Environmental friendly term hype for which the paper and the device totally support it, with equal importance. At the end, the inverter made up of e-waste but also with the application of IOT (Internet of things) can help to control the inverter from anywhere and regulate our safety concerns.

International Research Journal on Advanced Science Hub, 2021, Volume 3, Issue 1, Pages 13-17

This paper deals with the study of multiband printed antenna coated with silver nanomaterial to obtain better performace in the antenna characteristics. The techniques adopted in the study are etcing of novel patch with definitive dimensions as the fucntion of chosen operating wavelength at 8 GHz as the design constraint along with defective ground layer to minimize the propogation losses in the antenna. From the results, it is clear that, the antenna obtained 61.20% improvement in bandwidth for the fabricated Multiband Printed Antenna with  Defected Ground Structure (MPA DGS) and 32.10% bandwidth improvement  for Nanomaterial Coated Multiband Printed Antenna with  Defected Ground Structure (NCMPA-DGS)(NCMPA-DGS) with quad-band characteristics suitable for Wireless applications. The proposed antennas are compact in nature which has also achieved good radiation characteristics.

Meta-Heuristic Firefly Algorithm Based Optimal Design of Passive Harmonic Filter for Harmonic Mitigation

Murugan A.S.S.

International Research Journal on Advanced Science Hub, 2021, Volume 3, Issue 1, Pages 18-22

In present years, the increasing use of power electronic based nonlinear devices in various power system applications causes harmonic distortions in source side voltages and currents. The unwanted harmonic distortion can introduce detrimental effects on electrical equipment and temperature increases in neutral conductors and distribution transformers. In this paper, a new optimization method of Meta-heuristic firefly algorithm is proposed for the optimal design of passive harmonic filters to mitigate the harmonics existing in the power system environment. The performance of the proposed firefly algorithm based passive filter evidences better result compared with the other algorithm based methods.
