Skin cancer appears to be the most common among all tumors throughout the globe. The initial finding of skin cancer can be alleviated. Late detection leads to fatal. A human inquiry is thought-provoking. The biopsy procedure is agonizing, so computerized examination of skin cancer turns out to be noteworthy.  A prevalent literature survey is carried out to study the State-of-art procedures for skin cancer diagnosis. Segmentation of skin lesion is a crucial task due to several features like the existence of hair, illumination difference, irregular skin color, and multiple unnatural skin regions. This paper recommends a comparison of various segmentation techniques and k-means clustering algorithms to segment the lesion. Several methodologies have been anticipated to determine skin cancer. The features can be resolved by familiarizing an advanced method for segmenting the skin lesion from macroscopic images based on the discrete wavelet transformation.

DOI: 10.47392/irjash.2020.154

Diclofenac is an anti-inflammatory, non-steroidal drug used to treat pain and inflammatory disorders such as gout. Since diclofenac is not fully absorbed in the body, it is apparent that a part of it is defecated and enters the aqueous system. Diclofenac may also be fed to the natural environment by waste from the pharmaceutical industry. Diclofenac 's presence in nature may have adverse effects on living organisms. In reality, human life and the health of natural ecosystems can be widely jeopardized. Therefore, various remediation techniques, like advanced oxidation processes, membrane filtration, biological treatment, electro-coagulation etc., are reviewed and contrasted in this review paper in order to eliminate diclofenac from the waste water or reduce its life to a minimum. Though, currently, many conventional techniques are being used for the removal of such persistent compounds but more advanced techniques should be introduced to mitigate the environmental and human health risk.

International Research Journal on Advanced Science Hub, 2020, Volume 2, Issue Special Issue ICIES 9S, Pages 44-47
DOI: 10.47392/irjash.2020.157

Cellulose is of special interest due to its abundance in nature and it provides excellent materials for membranes both in native and derivatized forms. Graft copolymers of cellulose when used in separation and enrichment technologies have advantages over the conventional ones, due to chemical resistance, radiation stability and low cost of preparation. Cellulose based graft copolymers and hydrogels offer large hydrophilic area despite being insoluble in water and enrich or separate metal ion by binding, adsorption, chelation and ion exchange processes. Potential of cellulose as sorbent can be improved by radiation and chemical grafting, crosslinking and polymer analogous reactions on some graft copolymers. Grafting of suitable monomers with hydrophobic and hydrophilic/ionic moieties combine high degree of selectivity, permeability and longer stability, and enables complexation with low molecular weight species. Incorporation of functional groups like nitrile, hydrazino, hydroxamic acid and phosphate by derivatization and post polymer reactions enhances metal ion sorption capacity of Cellulosics. In present study an attempt has been made to study the sorption of Fe+2, Cu+2 and I2 on select graft copolymers of cellulose with N-Vinylpyrrolidone (1-Vinyl-2-prrolidone, N-VP) and Butyl Acrylate(BuAc) on to cellulose and some of their functionalized derivatives, on the basis of lowest to highest percent grafting (Pg). An attempt has also been made to investigate selectivity in metal ion sorption and effects of structural aspects of functionalized graft copolymers to find their end-uses as cost effective and eco-friendly polymeric materials for waste water management technologies.

DOI: 10.47392/irjash.2020.162

Shakespeare has made Brutus a renaissance humanist. He is identifiable with Plato, Aristotle, Thomas More or Francis Bacon. He is a republican and an idealist. He is made to love the nation and to love the individualism. In this way Shakespeare makes him the image of the renaissance embodying all the beams of the spirit. In course of time, Brutus becomes a knowledge center and who undergoing a change to fit an ideal to the changing situation. The image of Brutus also changes in due course. The image is socialized and secularized to represent the meaning of freedom and liberty in different versions. In this regard, one can bring an analogy between the character of Brutus in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar and any character in Barrie’s play Dear Brutus. The thoughts of the Elizabethan Brutus are reminded and practiced by the common men and women in their routine existence. During the transition, the new knowledge is spread as if it is the Christian knowledge which can brighten the human condition pushing aside the dark ignorance. The brightness of Brutus is now distributed in the form of the practicable human activities preserving the same values of liberty, equality and the brotherhood. The renaissance Brutus symbolizes the love of the nation, the love of new knowledge, the love of justice and above all the love of freedom. These ideas become the main forces in the formation of Brutus myth. Brutus continues to live propagating these values even to the modern periods. Being an archetype Brutus passes on through the path of art and through the doctrines relevencing the path to the path human construct in society.

International Research Journal on Advanced Science Hub, 2020, Volume 2, Issue Special Issue ICIES 9S, Pages 108-115
DOI: 10.47392/irjash.2020.170

This paper presents the simple and low-cost design of an automatic power factor correction (APFC) system for single-phase domestic loads. The proposed design uses TRIACs to switch the capacitor banks in order to correct the power factor of inductive loads. TRIACs are more effective than electro-mechanical relays and hit the high-performance benchmarks. An Arduino board controls the switching of TRIACs. The Arduino is programmed to non-stop monitor and calculate the power factor of the connecting load by sensing the signal from CT, PT and Zero Cross Detectors (ZCDs), and keep the power factor of the load above the reference value (0.95) by appropriately energizing the capacitors in parallel to the connecting load through TRIAC switching. The value of power factor before and after improvement is displayed on LCD. The hardware prototype of the proposed APFC design is also developed to validate its operation. The satisfactory and acceptable results of the APFC system testing have confirmed that the suggested design yields a reliable output and can be further used in any single-phase practical application to ensure the power factor close tounity.
