Simulating IEEE 802.15.6 based Wireless Body Area Network Interference using NS2 Platform for Indian Scenario

A recent data suggest that currently there are more than 485 million wearable sensors or gadgets users in the world and expected to increase in the near future. The communication technologies used in these gadgets are either Wi-Fi or Blue-Tooth. These wireless technologies have inherent limitations to be used in Health Monitoring. Also, these technology gadgets are not being considered and accepted by medical practitioners for e-health monitoring. To address this issue, in 2012 IEEE 802.15.6 standard has been introduced to develop future of e- health monitoring which paves its way to Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN) developments. India, being populated country, WBAN can be extremely useful technology to reduce burden on health care system. WBAN research has gained importance in India, where most of the research is focussed on sensor development and monitoring. The network level studies focussing on interference phenomenon are rare to find. In this paper, a focus is on developing an interference scenario in simulation environment. This interference study provided deep insight into the dynamics of co-existing WBANs where its adverse effects are observed on energy consumption, delay and throughput.

Design of Broadband and Dual-band Monopole Antennas applicable in Various Wireless Fields

A wide-band monopole antenna is reported here. This antenna attributes a broad band-width ranging from 1.5 GHz to 7.2 GHz (76.31%) effectful for broad-band wireless application. The antenna comprises of a rectangular metal patch and an altered ground plane. This antenna is named as Antenna XX and is fed with 50 Ω transmission line. Now the antenna is suitably cut at the two corner sides of the metal patch near the feed line and also a rectangular portion of the metal patch has been removed to make the above said antenna perform as a dual band nature. This new geometry of the antenna is named as Antenna YY and provides double band of frequencies. Range of lower bandwidth is 1.7-3.2 GHz having 2.4 GHz middle frequency and range of upper bandwidth is 6.1-7.6 GHz with 6.9 GHz centre frequency. Accessible bandwidths for lower and upper band are 61.44% and 22% individually. The resultant two bands are effective for WLAN and C band applications. These two detailed antennas give monopole similar E-Plane and omnidirectional H-plane radiations patterns. These two antennas are designed and simulated by HFSS software.

Flow of Electrically Conducting Williamson Fluid with Cattaneo-Christov heat flux due to Permeable Sheet

An analysis is presented for the flow of non-Newtonian Williamson fluid due to permeable sheet. The recent modification of Fourier’s law of heat conduction, i.e. Model of Cattaneo-Christov heat flux is studied in present article to analysis the heat flux. The permeable sheet undergoes suction and the effect of Soret and Dufour is also investigated The governing boundary layer equations are transformed into a non-dimensional form using appropriate set of transformation and the resulting non-linear coupled system of ordinary differential equations are solved using robust Homotopy Analysis method. The influence of physical parameter affecting the velocity of fluid, heat and mass transfer are discussed and outputs are expressed in figures and tables. Some interesting results are found from the study that the velocity profile is decelerating with increase in magnetic parameter. Increasing Darcy number accelerates the flow due to a corresponding rise in permeability of the regime and concomitant decrease in Darcian impedance.

Virtual Discussion for Improving Motivation: A Christian Education Strategy against Covid-19 Pandemic Effect

There was a big question about the transition to online learning on around the world, could it motivate student as good as the traditional methods? This study is aimed at finding out the effectiveness of virtual discussion for improving motivation of students during the Covid-19 pandemic. A total of sixty Christian students of State Vocational High School Malang were involved in the study, separated in two classes. The first class was treated with virtual discussion method and the other class as a control class. This study used a quasi-experimental research design, and analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The result obtained sig. 0.000 less than 0.05, showed a significant difference in the mean scores, indicated that virtual discussion was effective for improving motivation of students. From the finding, it is recommended to use virtual discussion in Christian education, against Covid-19 pandemic effect.

STERILOID: Room Sanitization Robot

In this paper we have proposed a room sanitation robot. The world around us is facing new threats day by day, latest being the corona virus. Social distancing, wearing masks, sanitizing the hands and disinfecting rooms are some precautionary measures to be taken against this deadly virus. Hence our project aims at disinfecting the rooms by deploying robots instead of manpower. Steriloid is a sanitizing robot which can be used to sanitize rooms, pathways, roads etc. It can be controlled in two modes manually or automatically. In the Automatic mode, the robot moves around the room with the help of two ultrasonic sensors. The sensors detect the obstacle while the robot is in motion and control the robot accordingly. In the Manual mode, complete control of the robot is in the user's hands. A mobile application is used to control the robot via a Bluetooth module. So the robot can move to any location. Sanitizer or sanitizing liquid is filled inside a reservoir and a pump is placed inside it. When the robot starts moving, the pump can be turned on from the mobile or manually and it starts sanitizing the room.

This paper presents the design, analysis and comparison of different types of dc-dc converters. Now days due to lack of conventional energy sources like coal, petrol, diesel etc., demand of electricity is rising day to day. To fulfill this demand of electrical energy alternative methods are very much important now. The researchers stand motivating in solar energy generation, dc-dc converters etc. In this paper Performance analysis of different dc/dc converters and comparative study of them is focused. All converters will work in Continuous conduction mode. The performance analysis of different converters (Buck, Boost, Buck Boost, CUK, SEPIC, Positive Output Super-Lift Luo Converter) and comparison of those converter’s simulation results discussed using MULTISIM 14.0.

Promoting the Affective Domain within Global Pandemic: The Challenge of Christian Education

The Christian faith was not merely a matter of knowledge (cognitive domain) alone, but also about feelings and attitudes (affective domain), and deed or practice (psychomotor aspects). All domains in the viewpoint of the Christian faith influenced each other so that all need to get the same judgment. The problem was they were no longer having public meeting, especially in Christian education classes. In the other hand, it was hard to touch affective domain without face-to-face learning. This study investigated the effect of cooperative learning on affective domain in Christian education during the global pandemic of Covid-19. This study was conducted among forty Christian students, and adopted quasi-experimental design with two groups, the experimental group and control group. Prior to the t analysis, the pre-requite test for normality had been conducted. Then, data were analyzed by using paired sample T-Test. The result of analysis revealed that that affective domain in Christian education can be promoted by cooperative learning. Paired sample t-test showed that the value of significance (2-tailed) was less than 0.05, indicated that there was a significant difference of mean between pre-test and post-test results. In this regard, cooperative learning can be solution to increase affective domain in Christian education during pandemic. Further studies are suggested to be conducted with larger samples.

Stingless Honey a Sustainable Economy in Nagaland

Nagaland has a tradition of beekeeping since time immemorial. They practice both apiculture and meliponiculture, while the former is preferred over the latter. Meliponicluture or stingless beekeeping is negligible due to little or no domestication technology. Stingless bee is the smallest honey producing bee. The honey of stingless bee taste  sweet and sour and is different from common honey. Nagas use the stingless honey as an ethno-remedy to treat various diseases and usually take it before going out for hard work to get more strength and energy. It has high demand in the market because of its great medicinal value. However demand of the market is not fulfilled due to less number of stingless bee keepers. Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission- NBHM has opened many avenues for the beekeepers to sell their pure organic produce like in Hornbill festival at Kohima, and also to local, national and international tourist. This paper would like to study the economic importance of beekeeper with a special reference to stingless bee in rural areas. The researcher would like to emphasize on how the village livelihood are sustained by rearing bee. It will also cover the farmers with beekeeping as hobby turn into  full time prosperous beekeepers.

The world's population is growing rapidly. Food production must be increased in order to meet their dietary needs, but this must come at a cost that is affordable to everyone. Agriculture was the main source of food for the population. All agricultural equipment is rarely modernized due to its low productivity. In India, farming is done by traditional means, in addition to the large-scale development of the industrial and service sectors compared to the agricultural sector. There will be a lot of field work in the agriculture sector, such as weeding, weeding, sowing, spraying, etc. Apart from this spraying operation, the farmers play a vital role in the agricultural process of protecting the crop. Traditionally, the spraying of pesticides and insecticides is carried out by farm workers carrying backpack sprayers that require more human effort. Attention is paid to these important problems and an attempt is made to develop equipment that will be of benefit to the farmer in spraying operations. As we know, there were different types of agricultural sprayers like backpa. Because there is a lot of solar energy available in nature. So we will use solar energy in agricultural sprayers with the help of solar panels. Farmers face the problem of large area coverage in a short period of time. In this project work, we will manufacture a multiple power supply of fertilizer sprayer. And this manufactured equipment will cover the maximum area during spraying.

Cyber bullying is a threat to the persons who are very socially active in various social media platforms. So, in this paper we deal with what is cyber bullying and types of it. We also discuss about the cyber bullying taking place at various places like school, college, university etc.Even we conducted a small survey and unstructured interviews with the teachers, professionalisms about the cyber bullying. So in the results we discuss about the survey and interview results after properly analyzing it. We also give some of the way that how to stop cyber bullying and its limitations to fight with it easily

This Paper presents the fabrication and concept of four way hacksaw blade machine mainly carried out for production-based industries. Industries are basically meant for production of useful goods and services at low production cost, machinery cost and low inventory cost. Today in this world every task has been made quicker and fast due to technology advancement but this advancement also demands huge investment and expenditure, every industry desire to make high productivity rate maintaining the quality and standard of the product at low average cost. We have developed a prototype model of a Hacksaw machine. This project consists of a crank and slider mechanism along with linear bushing. These machines can be used in remote places where electricity is regular. It is designed as a portable one which can be used for cutting in various places. It can be used for operating on materials like thin metals, wood. We include Design Thinking process from SNS college of technology to do this experiment. The stages of Design Thinkers are Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype & test, Evolve.
