Abstract

In the current situation, Corona is a well-known word to everyone. The coronavirus has spread to almost all countries, impacting people of various classes, castes, genders, and regions in India. Both the central and state governments of India have declared lockdowns to prevent the spread of the virus throughout the country. As a result of this pandemic, socio-economic conditions in all sectors, including the education sector, have been severely disrupted. The closure of schools, colleges, and universities has been implemented to break the chain of Corona transmission. The education sector has taken remedial measures to prevent any disruption to the academic year, implementing online learning from home. However, the shift from traditional classrooms to digital classrooms has exacerbated learning inequality among school children, particularly affecting rural areas compared to urban ones. The study concludes by highlighting the major problems faced by schools, teachers, parents, and children. Additionally, some possible suggestions are mentioned to overcome these difficulties and achieve equality between rural and urban education.
