The current review aims to provide a thorough understanding of nanocomposite coatings for steel in industrial applications. Based on findings from recent research, we will delve into detail about various coating materials, deposition methods, and the challenges associated with creating the best coating for steel. The article has been prepared in two primary parts. In the first part, anti-corrosion coatings, ceramic films, chemical vapor deposition, carbon nanotubes, and graphene are presented with the latest research. The second part focuses on the industrial application of current research, including aerospace, automotive, and petrochemical industries.
